Collaborating with stakeholders

We know that understanding our stakeholders, and building an effective and trusted dynamic with them, is key to a product’s success.

We recommend this approach to get things started:

• Map stakeholders against level of influence and involvement
• Understand and adapt to stakeholder availability and communication preferences.
• Define a stakeholder engagement approach with appropriate frequency and communication methods for each group.
• Establish co-design approaches that involve stakeholders directly in the design and development process.
• Build consensus in collaboration with stakeholders and the delivery team, adapting approaches to suit different organisational cultures and decision-making styles.
• Utilise existing, or where required establish, escalation procedures that provide clear paths for resolving complex decisions or difficult trade-offs.
