Leaving dxw
This guide explains what you can expect, and the actions you may need to take when leaving dxw.
First steps #
The first thing you must do is let your line manager know that you’re leaving in writing, by email. Your line manager will then share your resignation with the People team.
The People team will pick up the offboarding process from here, and guide you through it step by step. They will start by sending you a resignation acceptance letter that will:
- confirm when your last working day will be, based on your contractual notice period
- explain how much holiday you have left
- let you know what your final payment date will be
What happens next #
The People team or your line manager will work with you on a plan to communicate that you’re leaving to the rest of dxw. We would normally inform your Head of and the Executive team fairly quickly. We would normally include information on leavers in the Company weeknote at a later date. We will let you know when we are planning to do this to check you are comfortable with the timing.
The central team will be aware of your resignation as they are involved throughout your offboarding process, including Finance and Workplace Tech.
We value your contributions to dxw, and experiences during your time with us. You will receive an invitation to complete an anonymous exit interview survey around 2 weeks before your final day, so you can share your feedback, ideas and reflections. The People team would also be happy to have a chat with you on the information you choose to share with us, if you’d find that helpful - just reach out.
If your new employer needs to contact us for an employment reference, please provide peopleteam@dxw.com as the contact.
The People team will arrange for your laptop to be collected from your home address at a time that suits you.
Your final day #
The People team will stay in touch with you right up until your last day, and will let you know any other actions you need to take along the way.
Our Workplace Tech Lead will be in touch ahead of your final day to arrange the offboarding of your laptop.
